Garmin what's wrong with Enduro 3? Still no auto brightness after half a year?
I highly doubt there is an ambient light sensor on enduro 3 because fenix 8 can adjust the backlight automatically. Also, Garmin is known to put wrong specs on the website sometimes. I cannot think of…
Enduro 3 does have an ambient light sensor according to Garmin’s website
Sadly I don't think it could as I don't believe the Enduro 3 has the physical hardware, namely a light sensor.

I take it back..... I trawled the website several times before posting above & somehow missed the "Ambient Light Sensor " in the specs.
As it DOES have the hardware, I can only assume it would be a software tweak to add the functionality? Let's hope Garmin do that
I highly doubt there is an ambient light sensor on enduro 3 because fenix 8 can adjust the backlight automatically. Also, Garmin is known to put wrong specs on the website sometimes. I cannot think of a single reason why the sensor exists but is not enabled.
The dimmest level for sleep mode is way too bright, which is harsh on my eyes at night. This is never a problem on fenix 7 Pro.
It would be nice to have a useable auto brightness feature and not the one from the Fenix.
Useful would be:
The Solar Ring is a light sensor.
Not sure. fenix 7 (non-Pro) also has a solar panel, but no ambient light sensor is available.
Although they changed the design of the solar panel, I still think the ambient light sensor is not the same thing. I really hope Garmin can officially clarify this confusion.
but no ambient light sensor is available.
Because Garmin is lazy and did not come up with the idea earlier, it's a Pro Feature (poorly implemented). They are probably not interested in integrating a function of a newer model into an older one.
Yes they changed the Solar for the E3, it has become more sensitive. So it would work even better. When I take a look at my Solar graph on the F7 I can clearly see when I'm indoors and it can detect a weak dim light on my desk.
