fitness age not moving since almost 1 year

Hi,
is anyone having the same issue? My fitness age was working before. Also with other watches from garmin. But now since almost one year it stands still at the same number with no movement at all. Like frozen ...something is off.
Everything else seems to work and change. VO2 was also frozen for a while but seems to be working again.

  • Are you expecting an improvement, and if so, then why? Did all the individual components of Fitness Age (Vigorous Days, Vigorous Minutes, Resting Heart Rate, or BMI/Fat%) significantly improve during the last year? Or are you rather surprised it did not increase 1 year since last year?

  • Well actually they did improve. But I would not even complain if it would go in the other direction. Since I am also getting older. As stated, it was moving before and whatever my activities are. Over the time of one year something had to move in the one or other direction.

For example I also lost almost 40 pounds over the last 1,5 years. There is no way I kept the perfect balance between getting older changing drastically and not moving this pointer one inch. Again I don’t care what direction…

  • It can be also that you FA is already on the minimal value and cannot improve more. It also needs a maximally 7 days old weight data. Adding a new weight entry would help in such case. What exactly does the FA page show? A screenshot could perhaps reveal some clues. Otherwise, there are some hints for a stale FA at What Does Fitness Age Mean in Garmin Connect? | Garmin Customer Support

  • the fitness age was working before and as you can see went up and down ...

The weight is put into the system with the garmin smart scale since years on a daily basis

heart rate is also existing over the entire time. I usually have resting heart rate around 42-44 ...it went up the last two months a bit... anyway. the fitness age is not explainable for me. And as I said - I am not saying I should have this or that fitness age... but there should be movement.

also intensity minutes are existing ...

the documentation shows it depends on mainly on activities, resting heart rate, and body fat percentage, bmi or weight

  • Try adding a new significantly higher weight value manually, and see whether it makes the Fitness Age change. You may need to wait till the next day (avoid syncing your Index scale for that time). Once you see whether it makes the FA value moving or not, you can delete the fake weight entry.

  • I bought an Enduro 2 last October and had a bit different bug than you. My watch never showed a fitness age. Literlally for 4 months or so.  Nothing happened, master reset, sw reinstall.

Then I reverted back to sw 16.22 for anothe reason and after a couple of days fitness age was shown by the watch.

I would not say more, because my case was different, but I concluded that the bug I suffered from had nothing to do with my watch only.
