Enduro 2 and no calibration option after running on a treadmill

Hi.
Yesterday I ran for the first time with Enduro 2 on the treadmill. I had the HRM Pro Plus belt too. I ran over 10 km. After stopping the activity, the watch did not offer me calibration. I also did not have the "Calibrate and save" option. To make matters worse, the watch calculated that my run was 1 km longer, so the pace was much better and now the watch suggests faster workouts!
My HRM has set pace and distance in indoors. Autocalibration ON (but auto calibration is outdoor only I think).

I didn't have my hands on handrails.
Should I set something or run first time without HRM? Any idea?

I had no problem with Forerunner 255 I used last spring. But then my first run on treadmill I did without HRM Pro Plus as I bought it later as I remember. I run with HRM later and I could calibrate every activity on tradmill.

  • Of course I chose treadmill activity.

  • My HRM has set pace and distance in indoors. Autocalibration ON (but auto calibration is outdoor only I think).

Right, you have to do at least 2 hours of outdoor runs under good GPS conditions to get the strap calibrated:

And as for calibrating the treadmill activity, you have to do a treadmill run of at  least 2.4 km (1.5 mi), otherwise the calibration option won't be visible:

  • And I did over 10km and there was no calibration... Garmin support wants me to try once more tradmill activity and film stopping it. They don't believe what I saw?

A few months ago I changed HRM settings but when I saw that distance was taken from HRM and it was much worse than it should have been (from GPS) I set HRM indoors only. Maybe all those settings changes screwed something up?

Well, the watch is designed so, that it offers the calibration option after you have run at least 2.4 km (shown on the watch, not on the treadmill!), so they need to see what you do differently than everyone else, that you do not get the option.

HRM-Pro must be set to Indoors only, otherwise it won't calibrate when running outdoors. So if you previously had it set to the option "Always" when running outdoors, then it is no wonder it did not calibrate.

  • But "Always", as i remember,  I had set a few months ago and only for 1-2 weeks. After the problem with treadmill 2 days ago I checked it and it was set to indoors. And there was over 11km on the watch after the training so calibration should have been possible.

Maybe I will be in gym in a few days and I will check it once more. But I already spend a lot of time reporting various errors to Garmin, testing, downloading logs from the watch, etc. I bought an expensive watch, and now I act as a tester.

  • After the problem with treadmill 2 days ago I checked it and it was set to indoors.

And did you run sufficiently outdoors to get it calibrated?

However, if the estimate from the HRM-Pro strap is inaccurate, you can reset the calibration, and do it again from the scratch. That is possible even without the Treadmill calibration.

  • I've run dozen of times outside. But distance is from GPS so I don't get it...

HRM won't be such accurate as distance read from treadmill, even after calibration, and that's why I need the option "Calibrate and save".

I think they missed some settings combination.

  • I also have this problem with my Enduro 2. There is no "Save and Calibrate" option as the documentation strictly states. Yesterday I ran 15km on treadmill and it was estimated to 12km only. I use Garmin HRM Pro+. It is confusing and irritating, as I need to recalculate everything on my own every time. I thought it just works dumb but then I came across this thread ;/

  • I've also been provided with this video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AswNPZXBWbw maybe it is just the matter of scrolling down the options - I mean, Save and Calibrate may be simply hidden on display at first, and one should scroll down the actions to see it ,) I will test it soon and let you know.

  • For sure I checked all options after first time. There was no calibration. But... a week later I try to treadmill once more and this time there was "Save and calibrate". I only run 3km and even result from the watch was not so much different than from treadmill. I was quite happy and a few days later I run about 11-12km. Huge difference in pace! I was running about 5:30/km, but Enduro showed about 5:00/km sometime even less. So how the *** does calibration work? But calibration option was again.

    All runs with HRM Pro.
