Restore from backups via GarminExpress/Connect Web?

My watch continues to require hard 3-button restarts. I have device backups listed under Settings/DeviceBackups. But how to restore the device from that backups WITHOUT Garmin Connect application installed on smartphone? Any ways how to do in via GarminExpress/Connect Web? It is so annoying to reenter all WiFi access point manually...

Unfortunately the Restore backups is only an option using the Connect Mobile app. Using the Back Up and Restore Feature on Select Garmin Watches

Too bad, since I do not use and have no intentions to use mobile app. Why couldn't it be done via Web, WiFi or GarminExpress? Backups work that way, why not restore?

This can be a really good suggestion. However if using this method, I would recommend making a backup file long ahead of time. Otherwise, you can reintroduce a problem with the restore steps. For example: if the reset is needed due to a corrupted file, and you create the backup after there is an issue, when you restore you are likely re-adding the corrupted file.

Thanks a lot for the suggestion! Looks perfectly clear and easy. Would you happend to know, will any of that .fit files backup my WiFi access points settings? Those are the hardest to reenter....

Unfortunately no. This is primarily for capturing the fitness data, activities, and activity settings. Wi-Fi access points will not appear as a file you can copy and restore on the watch.
