Small (but annoying) issues

1. Activities that are not recorded by the Garmin watch (any model 6, 7, Enduro2) but which are recorded in Garmin Connect (e.g., workouts in Zwift) are not counted as intensive activity minutes

2. The value of the steps on the Today widget is rounded to integers and presented as X.0000 (I think since version 13.xx)

You need to wear your watch. It is the watch, not Garmin Connect that calculates the Intensity Minutes, hence you won't get any for imported activities unless you wear the watch. It is not an error. It is supposed to work in this way.

  • Thanks I know that, but it's not ideal because, for example, if I have a light zwift ride and my heart rate won't be at least in S2 then the watch unfortunately doesn't count that activity as intensive activity minutes.

Not sure what you mean by S2, but if your heart rate is not high enough during the activity, then there is no reason why you should get Intensity Minutes. You get intensity minutes for the time you spend with the HR above the given threshold (depending on the settings either a certain percentage of the Resting HR, or a certain HR Zone). It is not for the time where you are active or doing activities. If you need to know that, use the Total Activity Time Report instead: https://connect.garmin.com/modern/report/18/all/last_seven_days

  • Depending what watch face you use depends how the steps are shown. I use one of the standard watch faces and have the gauge half moon across screen and that shows the steps to the exact number. Like you this also annoyed me that once you get over 10,000 steps it’s shows it as 10.1k for example!

  • S2 understood as heart rate zone. According to my observations, the Minutes of Intense Activity include all activities recorded as a workout or recognized as a movement such as walking. Here, treshhold is not a validator. And activities that autoamtically exported from another medium such as Zwift or Wahoo counter no longer. But I understand it as a marketing effort to wear and use Garmin always :)

Heart Rate Zone 2 is usually abbreviated as HRZ2 or Z2 Wink Intensity Minutes are being awarded anytime your HR is above the intensity threshold. If you did not change the default settings for IMs, then the threshold is based on the 7 days Average Resting HR. It is around 150% of the Resting HR. Whether you log an activity or not is unimportant (except of having a higher sampling rate during an activity).

And activities that autoamtically exported from another medium such as Zwift or Wahoo counter no longer.

Imported activities never contributed to Intensity Minutes. IMs are being processed only by a compatible Garmin device in real-time. If you continue wearing your Enduro 2 during a Zwift activity, and assure it gets accurate heart rate, you will get IMs even during that time, though.
