Garmin Descent MK2s bluetooth speaker

Hi, I don't know if official people from Garmin read this forum, but anyway, I have an idea, maybe people here will say if it is good or not good

every freediver knows that it is not possible to hear Garmin MK2 (especially MK2s) alerts during the dive, so we put mk2s inside our hood to hear it. What if Garmin (or any other brand) produces a very small 100+ meters underwater Bluetooth speaker that can be hung on your neck or on your nose clip?

So your computer can be on your wrist and you will be able to hear all signals and no more big watch in your hood...

As far as i know is blutooth not working under Water (because of the wavelength)

What about the vibration alarm? is that on not good enough?

I think Bluetooth can work underwater, there is only 1 meter or less from wrist to neck.

vibration is very light, sound volume is very low. especially with wetsuit and hood

Well.. if i remember correctly is the 2.4 Ghz under Water only good for less then 2cm range.. So even you might think that this works: It dont.

I have the MK2 and i agree: with a hood i dont hear any alarm of any Divecomputer. But even with a thick 7mm Neopren Suit i can feel easily the vibrations. (while Scuba, didnt tested it yet with my opencell Freediving Suit)

Why not just set alerts to vibrate?

mk2s has veeery light vibration that can not be felt in wetsuit

Id just roll back the sleeve and wear it on wrist, you cant have a situation where alerts arent heard or felt esp free diving

Maybe there is something wrong with your Garmin. My Girlfriend has the MK2s and can feel the alarm trough a 7mm Wetsuit

I can hear it scuba diving through my 5mm hood and can feel it through my drysuit and thick thermals....
