should i wait a few months? or get Mk2S now? how often does Garmin update their products?

is it worth getting it now? or should I wait for an update?

because it's been almost 3 years since the launch of this product. wondering if there'll be some new updates.

I don't want to end up owning an old model within a few weeks/months after purchasing

Garmin keeps all of their future product plans secret so one who actually knows will post here. Based on previous patterns they will probably launch a Descent Mk3 series based on the Fenix 7 or Epix 2 series sometime around Q4 2023. If you really want the new Fenix 7 features, then wait for that. It probably won't include any really major new dive features.
