I have a brand new Descent Mk2i, purchased 05/03/2021.
It is completely up to date re: firmware, maps etc.
The Backlight gesture feature stopped working three days ago. I have tried switching wrists, turning the feature on and off, during activity, not during activity. I have tried all of these with a combination of restarting the device multiple times, connecting to my PC via the web and via the Garmin Express desktop app. I have synced with my phone, signed in, signed out. I have tried standing on one leg while repeating all of this.
The gesture feature worked for fifteen minutes yesterday, then stopped working again.
Can anybody help with this issue, and hopefully without telling me to do a factory reset, as I have spent hours getting all my data screens set up, unless there is a way to back up these settings?
