[BUG] Custom workout no longer takes weight into an account

I created a custom workout in Connect app on Android. Pushups, sit-ups and dumbbell exercises. 3 sets of each. Also entered weights and synced to my watch.

During the workout, when you complete the set, it asks you how many repetitions you did, and in the next step you can enter weight which is prefilled from the save workout.

At the end of the workout, it showed how many sets you completed and total weight.

This worked. Last update broke this.

On my phone, in Connect app, weights are still there but during workout, it says 0.0 and total doesn't get calculated in the end of workout.

I  tried syncing workout again to my watch and deleted the old one but it doesn't help.

These are community forums and absolutely nobody form Garmin will ever read this right ? Since this is like my 3rd thread and all of them have zero replies.

Last update also reset my watch face and I had to set it up again.

CAN YOU FIX THIS PLEASE AND STOP BREAKING THINGS ????

There have been some issues with weights and reps lately that are being addressed in the beta section of the forum. There is no beta program for your watch, as Garmin treats dive-critical firmware with more caution due to the safety implications of bugs during underwater use.

Weight training entered weights not remembered. Every set requires new input

I'm not Garmin, but I did reply to one of your posts - List of Exercises with videos

Most of the responses here are going to be from fellow Garmin users. If you want to hear from Garmin, it would be best to contact Garmin Support directly to report the issue you're experiencing.

  • thanks, i did find the list of exercises spreadsheet

good to know they are aware of the bug, could have a done a better job testing before release though. skipping beta on the dive watch doesn't appear to fix much if such silly bugs still get in the final release and the release cycle is this long.

contacting support is useless in this day and age as bigger the company the more complicated "contact us" procedure is. haven't tried though, perhaps with my next problem.

i do believe they should take responsibility and monitor community forums though or at least provide a way for people to report problems because otherwise who knows when they will get aware of them.

  • skipping beta on the dive watch doesn't appear to fix much

They are only disabling the public beta for dive watches for safety reasons. They still have internal testing.

    contacting support is useless

My experience, at least in the USA, has been positive, especially using the support chat option, even on weekends and non-business hours. If chat is not available you should at least be able to open a support case using the Garmin Support page where you should see options to call, email, or chat, based on your country and time of day.

They do, though maybe not so much in the Descent G2 section. Certain Garmin staff are assigned to specific forum sections. For example,  typically handles Garmin devices in the Wearables section of the forum.
