G1 regulary deletes steps

Hello folks,

Do you also have the problem that steps are regularly deleted on your G1 Solar? I last had it yesterday that the watch showed me just under 9k steps, then I opened the Connect app, it only showed me 7.4k, so I set off to complete the 10k, the target alarm also came and everything was fine for me. Today I realize that steps have been removed again and I was supposedly only at 9.4k yesterday. It's starting to get annoying as it has now ended long streaks of mine several times. Do any of you have any idea where this is coming from or what to do about it? Garmin doesn't really offer a way to add anything to it.

    I have the same problem with the instinct model. It will randomly set back steps before synchronizing with the app. I think that might be the only reason I'm still fat

    Hello. I am sorry to hear you are having this issue. 

    The steps will reset at midnight each night. Are you traveling when this occurs? If so, changing timezones during the day can cause this. The watch can reset either midnight the time on your phone or watch. This can mean,  you may see some steps that were recorded after midnight, that will not sync for the same day. 

    If you are seeing this issue without travel, or seeing this reset midday I would recommend the following: 

    • Ensure the watch is on the latest SW version using Garmin Express. 
    • Be sure the Connect app, and the phone OS is up to date as well. 
    • Keep the Connect app open in the background, as well as background refresh enabled on the phone.
