Descent G2 or Stick With Descent G1?

General thoughts from those who have lived with the G1 for awhile?

I like the idea of the AMOLED display on the G2, but am put off by the relatively short battery life.

No LED light seems like an oversight, but would it be worth it, really?

Any other thoughts?

I would take the specs with a grain of salt. At Instinct 3 AMOLED (very similar watch), the specs grossly underestimate the battery life, although usually it is in the other way (and that's also the case at Instinct 3 Solar - in fact it lasts less than AMOLED). I'd either wait for some reviews, or test it (and return if really that bad).

Strange that they didn't release it with the torch. Makes no sense, but then a lot of Garmin's lare decisons made no sense,,,

It's a no go for me. 10 vs 21 days of battery life is waaaay too much difference.

Most likely...Fenix is rated for up to 40m and G2 up to a 100m...

Hate to burst your bubble...but we were actually talking about the possible reason why the D2 has no torch. But with so many comments here, it is easy to get confused.
