Boat App in the watch has stopped recording GPS track and data

I have used my Descent Mk1 watch for years (since May 2015) to record saling races and it has always given me a GPS track and associated data - it still goves me this data while racing on the screen but has stopped downloading this into Garmin Connect - it stopped about last October (2024) - and yes the GPS was working as I was getting speed, and where we were on the map on the watch, etc. - it also downloaded my normal data such as heat rate, elevation, temperature, etc.? I have tried updaing and turning it off and on?

Does it record the track when using a different outdoor activity profile, such as for example Walk, Run, Cycling, or similar?

Also, please post a link of the activity that failed recording the GPS track. Open the activity in Garmin Connect Web, make it visible to Everyone (see the padlock icon in the top right corner of the page), and post here the URL from the address line of the browser.
