missing data field in navigation settings

I have a descent g1 solar and a instinct 2x solar tactical.

I wanted to configure the navigation screens in the navigation menu, data screen, screen 2, then field 2 or 3 and there I realize that compared to the Garmin instinct 2x solar tactical, there are missing possibilities:

for example in the distance field I cannot choose distance, in the speed field I cannot choose speed, and in other fields I cannot for example choose barometric pressure.

Is this normal behavior on the g1 descent or is it my copy that has a problem? I am in version 11.21.

I answer myself.

I tried turning the watch off and on again: to no avail.

A hard reset: no effect.

I then did what I absolutely did not want to do: a complete reset, and there after 1 hour of reconfiguration the editable fields are present.
