Stuck in old version (4.62) and can't update

I just got a Garmin G1 solar and it's on the 4.62 version and if I use the phone app I just get an error when clicking on the watch, and if I use the Mac app it doesn't recognise it.

What can I do?

Probably the only way is to take it to an authorized center, asking for help with the update, or use a friend's computer with Windows.... Or try factory reset?
