G1 solar dive exit GPS not recording.

HI,

I have dived with G1 solar for 4-5 dives already.

For all of them, the entry GPS was recorded properly as I open the dive app and went into the dive mode on the computer itself before the dive.

However, when surfacing at the end of the dive, the dive ends in the watch. then on the boat, I check on my phone. The GPS for exit is not recorded.

Any idea on how to fix or make it properly recorded? I also tried to have my hand above water but still not get it.

I haven't touched anything on the watch when I up on water surface. it just ends by itself with 1 min delay end dive time.

Also when being on water surface took some minutes before I can get on the…

I'd guess that the watch needs a minute or so to get a GPS fix once it's back out of the water (and also not deep inside a dive boat), so maybe you're just ending the activity (rather than the dive) too quickly?

yes same issue with me...

Any dev in this forum though anyway? don't know how to fix.

I did report the issue.

Nate from product support gave me a suggestion of having "End Dive Delay" set to a slightly longer time.

Direct quote:
"I suggest bumping up the End Dive Delay a few minutes to make sure the watch is able to get a GPS signal at the end of the dive."

My next dive will be after a month or 2. Maybe you can try to verify if it solves the issue? I already set mine to 4~5 minutes.

After changing to 3 minutes end dive delay, mine is logging fine. (4 boat dives, open water, APAC Latest Software version 6.19)

I have exit GPS today coming out of no where.... But My end dive GPS is logged in another continent.

I am too good diving across continents.

I was under this impression as well, I had set my end dive time to 10 minutes to test this. The dive log in connect showed the correct time under water as the end of my dive, plus the extra 10 minuets at the end of the graph.

That being said, It looks like as long as you don't reenter the water within the window, it saves that as your end dive.
