D2 Air X10 missing METAR on waypoint screen

I've just got the D2 Air X10 and I'm getting to know it before an actual flight with it. There seems to be an issue with the METAR data on the waypoint screen (where you also have the frequencies, runways etc) - the field is empty, even though the main watch face shows correct METAR for the very same airport. No other airport shows it either.

I tried restarting the watch, manually syncing it, but the data is still missing there. Is there anything else I can do to fix it?

edit: after some more experimenting, it seems the issue is only there when I have the fly activity running. Is it possible that this is a safety feature and the watch doesn't want me browsing live METARs when in flight?

  • I don't guess you have figured this out to be a safety issue or yet? Starting to look at the D2 series for better Altimeter accuracy than my Venu 2 Plus...More research to come...

  • Nope, still don't know if it's meant to be like that or not. Just did my first flight with the watch though, loved the fact it tracked the whole thing perfectly without me having to do anything except saving it at the end. And given the display size and everything going on during flight, I probably wouldn't want to be scrolling through metars on it anyway.
