Hi Mike72, as firstinflight wrote yes the updater fixed it. You have the option to update or clear / install the entire database. As I perform a regular full hard reset / software reset on the watch for fun, I just did a full database install. Only took a few seconds and the database now shows an August expiry date.

Same problem here with tactix 7 Pro firmware 8.37. Update of the database via WIFI fails. Update of the database with the Database Manager on MAC fails (the watch is not recognized by the Database Manager on MAC).
A phone call to aviation support and test of the employee on his MAC confirms my finding. With the Database Manager on Windows (same version number of the Database Manager) it works fine.
Can someone from Garmin please comment if they are working on this problem ? I have limited access to Windows. Since there is a MAC version of the Database Manager, please can I get a fix for MAC.
It's 4-5 months since the database update failed error began. It's another thing that there is a way to manually update the DB. However, this is not an inexpensive watch (i understand that expensive is a relative term). It is an aviation watch. AIRAC data download and update is an important feature. The fact that Garmin does not fix it something that was working before is very frustrating. I now have 8.10 and it's still not working.
