D2 Air stuck in update loop...watch is unuseable

Brand new D2 Air, cost over $500, and it is unuseable. It asks me to install an update that will take 1 minute, and then it goes into a blue triangle that simply never goes away. If I leave it charging, it will continue for at least 24 hours (the longest I've left it). If I take it off the charger, it will continue with the blue triangle until the battery dies.

I have tried this with it connected to a computer and also via wifi with Connect Express (iPhone)...no difference.

Can somebody please tell me what I'm doing wrong?

I suggest contacting Aviation Support directly for issues like this.

I’ve looked there and don’t see any wearables listed on the “fly Garmin” site. This is disgusting...no wonder Apple has the best-selling smart watches. They actually work, unlike the $500 piece of junk that I opted for.

Best selling doesn't mean anything really; the best selling vehicles in the world are cheap, gas guzzling metal junk cars because they are priced low and readily available. But you won't find the same feature set on those cheap cars that you do on a well-made vehicle nor will it last as long. My 2006 Volvo is still running like new. And good luck finding the same functionality and intractability with an Apple Watch. Oh, and have fun charging the watch every night -- I charge my Garmin watch every 5 days or so.

In any case, right at the bottom of the Garmin Fly site - https://fly.garmin.com/fly-garmin/ - the Aviation Support contact info is listed in the footer. You can call them at 1-866-739-5687 (North America). Or if you're elsewhere they have numbers for Europe, APAC and South America too.
