D2 Bravo 4.0 Bug

First post. So for some reason, whenever I use Fly or Direct To, my D2 Bravo does what it should - finds GPS and shows distance and I can manually cycle through the various views. But as soon as I press go to record, it constantly cycles through all the views on its own as if possessed. Each view is there for <1 second. No clue what’s going on. If I leave it doing this, it will record but after a while it will turn itself off and come back on with the red stop icon and I have to manually resume, but it does the same thing again. I’ve tried resetting, restoring defaults etc, but it keeps doing it. Worked fine with 3.X firmware. Anyone else had this happen or found a workaround?
  • I did a quick check to try and replicate this on my D2 Bravo, but I wasn't able to. If this happens every time, can you detail the steps exactly? Here's what I tried:

    1. From watch face, hold down the Direct-To (Back) button.
    2. Selected an airport 16.5 nm away.
    3. HSI page is displayed, waited for GPS ring to turn green.
    4. Pressed Start button to begin recording.

Following these steps I wasn't able to replicate your issue, and the screens display as expected, only changing when commanded with the up/down buttons.

    Cheers,
    Douglas

Thanks Douglas. Yep, I followed the same steps as you. Just tried again with the closest airport KCLT 11.4 nm away, GPS is green on the HSI screen, press start and it goes through the screens. Guess I’ll need to call Garmin. Thanks again.

Edit: Just a little more info - if I press Back, it does take me back to the watch face, and will stay that way, but when I press Start to go back to the “fly” view, it’s still doing its cycling through the screens thing.

I think you are describing the AutoScroll behavior.

From the "Fly" app, press-hold Menu, then select "Settings" / "Current App" / "Auto Scroll", and see if it is On or Off, and if turning it off fixes your issue.

I'm not sure if it is a firmware or Garmin Connect bug, but my closest station METAR still stuck since March 15. Several other locations in Brazil shows delayed METAR.
    Anyone else?
