This is weird, but I can't switch my altimeter to show the values in meters. No matter if settings is feets or meters, it shows feets :(. Anyone has the same issue? FW 3.0
I don't have this feet / meters problem with the altimeter (Also on 3.0) . My watch set in feet and GPS altitude. My VSI is not working, always showing zero, and altitude is not transmitted to Garmin Pilot app, apparently Garmin is aware of they issue.
their answer: "I just received feedback from US regarding the issues that the vertical speed not working when the watch is set to GPS altitude is a known issue and will be fixed in the next software release. Garmin Pilot not receiving the altitude from the watch is also a known issue that is going to be fixed in the next software release of the watch.
Future software release will also include Configurable NRST airport search. This will allow the user to select surface type, minimum runway length, and private or helipads."
Basically this is resolved for me - I was able to set it up properly in different place in the menu. In the settings menu that is directly in altimeter it doesn't work, but Garmin knows about it and promised to have this repaired (not sure about the date).
