Athlete - Default Watchface

I think the default watchface on the Athlete looks really good, but...

The only data field that seems to be changeable is the bottom battery/date one. The MARQ logo, HR dial and Run Total dial seem to be fixed, which seems odd as other Garmin faces let you change all the fields. I was wanting to replace Total Run with my step count, as Total Run is hardly something I realy need to be referring to throughout the day.

And, on that topic...

I kind of thought Total Run would show my last activity, but having just recorded a bike activity it still shows Total Run which is a bit useless if you don't actually run much or at all. And what does it even mean? Mine's currenty showing a 6km treadmill run which I did on Monday (on my fenix 5+), but what does the "total" bit mean - is it weekly total?

Really liking the watch so far though!
  • Hi all! Thanks for your comments. Yes, we agree; cycling options on the default watch face would add a lot of value to the Marq Athlete. I'm happy to say that we have been working to incorporate cycling options on the Athlete watch face, and plan to have this available in a future software update. Stay tuned!

  • I think more flexibility in the watch face, period. I don’t really want a 24x7 view of my heart rate, for instance. Not being able to change that, according to the OP, in probably the only watch face that supports VO2 and Recovery, is pretty limiting.
  • odsweng, better to allow access to the Vo2max and other parameters to the CIQ virtual machine, so any connect IQ developer can benefit features on all devices. Expected support ciq 3.1 i.e.

I second this. I really don't need to see my heart rate 24/7, but would much rather see either notifications or step count. The circles should definitely be customizable.

I just want to bump this message up and state that I would like to add that I would also like to see the ability to change what is shown in the dials. It's also a shame that the whole entire reason for the info on the bezel, the VO2 Max and Recovery time, only work with the default watch face. So either you limit your watch face to one option, or you have a bezel filled with pointless information. I don't really care about the latter so much, but still for the price, there shouldn't be so many limitations.
