Here's how the Athlete looks with the steel band and black leather for anyone wondering.
My swept-link titanium band just arrived! This is the default band for the Marq Aviator. Looks great on my Marq Athlete
I like the steel band there. The silicone strap looks different than the one that came with my Expedition:
Thanks for the heads up. I have the Ti band from the Aviator on order for my Expedition, it's a shame it's not durable at all...
The FR945 in the watch "user profile" has this settings: wrist left or right. Can you check if also the Marq has this choice? Why do you think that the watch wants to know the wrist? For the accelerometer?
Yes it does have this option. It is used for many functions, but the most obvious functions (that specifically ask for the wrist side to be defined on first use) are the Backlight and Notification Privacy "Gesture" features and the Strength Training activity app.
For what it is worth i had a discussion with one of the Garmin folks when i was wanting to do some testing between an older and newer device. I asked if i needed to switch the left/right wrist setting in the watch settings for the watch that ends up on the opposite wrist. They said no. The setting is used for the things you mention, but is not supposed to impact GPS positioning. That may have changed on the MARQ, but I doubt it.
