I just noticed that, for the first time, my swim has recorded my heart rate. That's nice, but I didn't know it did.

Just swam again today and my HR was recorded (pool swim). I hope this continues - the readings give good correlation to effort so I'm happy with the readings and estimate of effort, calories, etc.

Same happened with me on my Garmin Instinct. I really hope it’s not a bug...
Has anyone with the latest v.11 firmware had hr count during swimming? In all my tests no heart rate now
With firmware 11 update it appears to have reverted to not recording HR during pool swim.
How you take back a feature you just gave to your costumers even if it was by mistake?
What do you mean? It's their product and they can do what they want with it. If you're employer mistakenly over pays you do think you have the right to keep the money?
We actually demand from Garmin to enforce that feature and saying ***... And for sure not to take it back.
You're in no position to demand anything from Garmin. You're only recourse is to go to another manufacturer if you don't like it.

You can also roll back to the old firmware, and avoid updating to v11
I find it really funny that changelog does not mention fixing this issue not surprised at all. I wonder how would a changelog entry look like - something along the lines "we're broken the bug that enabled users to swim with HR monitoring"
As per ChangeLog for F6 12.20 ( https://forums.garmin.com/outdoor-recreation/outdoor-recreation/f/fenix-6-series/243394/system-software-12-20-sensor-hub-gps-updates ) there is a mention: "Fixed an issue where time in zones information could be incorrect for pool swim activities." So, HR is available as a feature and not gonna be eliminated at all. Since almost all high-price watches do use equal sensors and software functionality - then Swim HR should work and be back on Instincts.

Hey trux, how can you rollback? I cannot find where to download 10.72.
I cannot find where to download 10.72.
You have to find someone who kept the beta installation package Instinct_1100Beta.zip which included also the 10.72 rollback version.
Originally it was on the URL https://download.garmin.com/software/Instinct_1100Beta.zip, but it was already removed.
