Everything seems to work ok so far.

  • withoutwithGood morning,
I'm having trouble with that version.
It started with display problems on the seconds.
The seconds disappear and my heart rate freezes.
It's happening randomly, and I'm getting less and less of it.
The other display problem I've encountered is that the minute digits are sometimes displayed incorrectly, often around xx:59.
You end up with a number that would be a mix of the number 9 and the number 0...
The last problem is that I am unable to view my "altitude profile" of my activities from my watch.
I reboot my watch, and I did a soft reset.
However, before doing a hard reset, I would like to know if it is possible to save its parameters?

  • The seconds disappear and my heart rate freezes.

AFAIK, this was always the case. It is a power saving feature - when the watch enters the power saving mode (i,e. after X seconds after you raised your hand to look at the display), to reduce the battery drain, seconds and HR stop to refresh on the screen.

However, before doing a hard reset, I would like to know if it is possible to save its parameters?

Should be in the folder //GARMIN/Settings, but may perhaps vary between versions

  • You end up with a number that would be a mix of the number 9 and the number 0...

Could you post a photo? I have no idea what should we imagine as a mix of 9 and 0.

  • I have not tried this version in particular, but I've always had the issue you describe with the two numbers together. It's as if it doesn't clear the existing number before rendering the updated one, and you end up with two numbers superimposed on each other which makes it unreadable. I've learned to live with it. It probably happens far less than 1% of the time and lasts for only one second (I notice it every couple days and then it often happens multiple times in quick succession). I've had it happen on the seconds field and my heart rate in the top right circle, but never the minute or hour field. But that may just be because they don't change very often. It's not just the 9 and 0 mixing. You get some pretty funny looking numbers when you mix in a 7.

Regarding the seconds disappearing, it will do that when it hasn't detected movement for a while in order to save power. I'm not sure if that's the case here or not.

  • I just did a complete factory reset.
It's been a long time since I've done it...
    It can't hurt.
What bothers me the most is the fact that I can't visualize the altitude profile from the watch.
I'll try this week to see if I still have the same problem.

  • What bothers me the most is the fact that I can't visualize the altitude profile from the watch.

Works fine on my Instinct with beta 6.52, and in the same way as it did before: I long-press the ABC button (Down) to get the altimeter screen, and then scroll down to the last 4 hr elevation profile.

  • It's the profile of an activity I can't visualize.
I'm hoping with the reset, it'll be fixed.

C'est le profil d'une activité que je n'arrive pas à visualiser.
J'espère qu'avec la réinitialisation, ça  sera réglé.

  • I'm hoping with the reset, it'll be fixed.

I doubt that a reset could change anything in such case. If there ever were an activity elevation profile in previous firmware versions (personally I did not notice it), you will need to reverse back to the old version. It is available in the beta installation package.
