Instinct Messages not showing

I have just purchased an Instinct and when a message arrives it shows me a new message is avail, but I can only Dismiss or block App, it will not show message or give me an option to respond. I have read the other threads and activated all permissions, just want to know if there is any other tricks I can try. Thanks

Well tried everything and found that you need to show messages on a locked screen otherwise it just says there is a message but you cant do anything with it.

The 9 months old case was resolved 9 months ago, as you can see in the message before yours.

When a message notification arrives to your Instinct, press the GPS button to view the details. When you click the ABC button (down) and enter the Options (GPS button again), you can read the details fo the message / call. If you created or activated some predefined answers, you will see also the choices to answer. Please note that you have to have at least two active predefined answers to see the choices for answer. It is not quite logical, but when you have only a single predefined answer, the watch will not offer any possibility to answer.

You can predefine the answers (or activate some already predefined) in Garmin Connect Mobile, when you tap the icon of the watch at the top, and the select Text Responses. I did not find any way to customize the answers in Garmin Connect Web.

Thanks for your response, but when I go to the message, it will not show it. When I go to the Connect App, it does show me reponses I can use to answer back, but the watch does not show these either. It has me tricked for the moment.

You do not need to go anywhere. When a notification comes to the watch, it shows up immediately on the watch (on a white background), and stays there for several seconds (the timeout can be defined in watch settings). If you press the GPS button while the message is still on the screen, you get the full text, and the options to answer.

I am having the exact same issue. The watch does not have a respond option with text messages.

I can only dismiss or block ther app.

Why?

This was posted 9 months ago and no has been able to figure this out?

I really would like to keep this watch I just got it yesterday and really would hate to return it.
