3.20 Change Log Notes:

Fixed potential issue with GPS distance not being reported correctly. (This was available in the 3.11 beta)
Fixed rare watch face refresh issue.

Huh! Is there a difference between this 3.20 Beta and the 3.20 released through Connect? First time I see a Beta + production being released at the same time, with the same version number.

Is this available for the Instinct_apac version? Copying the gupdate.gcd file to my Instinct doesn't do anything.
I am stuck on version 2.90 and have the GPS distance bug. Meaning I cannot use the watch for activity tracking (my route has a short tunnel, the Instinct fails to count the distance once it regains GPS). I am keen to try this firmware before I give up on Garmin and go Apple.

Apologies for the wording of the post. Our goal here is to push 3.20 to everyone, but at a slower pace. Given that we have a strong group of people who like to jump in and update quickly, we thought we'd go ahead and also post 3.20 public release in the normal 'beta' slot. This 3.20 build is equal to the 3.20 build everyone will be getting over the coming days. We'll continue to roll it out to more and more people, but if you didn't want to wait for that roll out to get the update, then this is your avenue to update right away.

Again, our apologies for the confusing wording of the post.

Awesome! Hey, I don't care what your versioning looks like, or even dealing w/[VERY MINOR] confusion like in this case, as long as your team continues to provide such excellent support and update rhythm, and giving us nerds the option to update on demand. Thanks!

Hello Odsweng and thank you for the continuous updates and support for our Instincts. Personally, I really love this watch.

There is a long "Instinct suggestion list" discussion in this forum which includes some small improvements and suggestions. It would be lovely if Garmin could implement some of them via future software updates.

PS: there is also a problem in the Italian Instinct manual. Sometime, there are parts in Danish language. For example, at the beginning of page 2 (link: http://static.garmin.com/pumac/Instinct_OM_IT.pdf ):

Although the other (closed to comments) thread says firmware 3.20 is rolled out 100%, it is still not available in Japan:

(Also they seem to spell Instinct incorrectly, which doesn't help search)

Still not available here. Stuck with 2.90 and the GPS distance issue :(
