Software Version 16.10 ? Am I the only one who has a non-existent Firmware version ? None APAC watch.

Edit : my watch is not an APAC model. This has now been confirmed several times by Garmln. It has also been confirmed several times that this FW does NOT exist.

Nevertheless, I have this version.

Who else ?

There are no issues with the Instinct Solar watches showing the software version so it is not in the error department. It is in the department of being a moderator, I do not hear every last fine detail…

The German product support has ruled this out based on the device ID and serial number.

The only way the wrong software version could be shown on your watch, is if there is an issue issue with it.

The only reason I hesitate to say exchange it right away - if it continues to work correctly, the software version seen may correct itself with the next new software update. You are welcome to reach back out to Outdoor Product Support again and request they exchange your watch for you if you prefer to go that route now vs. wait until the next official update is released.

I received my Instinct Solar a few days ago and I have the same software version 16.10

When you say you received it, brand new? Did you exchange it with Product Support and received a rebuilt one?

Now that we have two showing 16.10, it sounds like it is coming from our Production facility when the software is loaded and I should be able to learn more given your answer. Thank you.

Thanks for the feedback! Then I'm not the only one with 16.10. And that, although not even Garmin knows this FW.

That's my guess, too. That's the only way it can be. However, I find it strange that so far no one from Garmin could confirm this to me. And so far no one at Garmin knows this FW.

I will get to the bottom of it. Only 1 may be something off but now there are 2 and from 2 different regions, someone will know the answer at our USA headquarters. I will update once I know more.
