9% in 4 days would theoretically get you to more than 44 days, so I'd tell it is all right. See the Battery Specifications in your User Manual

The actual battery life depends on the features enabled on your device, such as activity tracking, wrist-based heart rate, smartphone notifications, GPS, internal sensors, and connected sensors (Maximizing the Battery Life).

  • Since 12.2 I get 2 1/2 days on a charge, it uses 1-2% per hour, default settings, master resets performed.  Contacted Garmin Support but haven't heard back from them yet.

  • without the sun I get maximum around 14 days. I have not been able to test the solar feature yet as the weather is horrible but anyways I was expecting more than 14 days of battery.
