I've had the Instinct Solar for about a week now and have ran it on FW 9.30 and as of yesterday FW 9.40.
When using the watch normally, everything seems to be fine...sleeping, short activities, heart rate etc. is all good!
However, I've been on two hikes in the past week using the navigation...
The first hike was about 1hr20mins long, I used the "hike" activity. On the last 20mins of the hike I thought i'd try the "navigate" feature as I walked back home.
In the last 10 mins the watch randomly rebooted. And when I got home I was shocked to find that my past 4hours or so of solar charging, heart rate and stress levels had disappeared and were not showing in garmin connect. This was using FW 9.30.
This hike was using FW 9.40. So yesterday I was hiking for around 4hours but this time I used the "navigate" activity directly as I was following a gpx route. The watch rebooted twice whilst doing this hike and again when I got home and checked garmin connect, all of my heart rate, stress, solar charging had disappeared for the past few hours (this includes data before the start of the hike). The activity data stayed in connect with the heart rate...so this confuses me why I'm missing heart rate data for many hours yet it can be seen in my activity?
This is not the type of functionality I expect from a £350 smartwatch.
Has anyone else experienced random reboots? ...especially when using navigate?
