I bought a DELORME inReach SE unit a while ago, activated it last week to play around a bit before my trip, being on Freedom Recreation Plan.
I have an issue with tracking. On Sunday I started tracking from my device and sent a "starting my trip" message to myself to check if the link worked.
Did a little ride and the unit grabbed and sent two points. The link I received via E-Mail worked and displayed these points on my mapshare page.
Yesterday I had a full work day so switched the unit off (powered it down) without stopping tracking.
I would have expected that tracking would continue after powering the unit back on today. Didn`t.
When I go to the units tracking page it offers me to start tracking, points sent: 0.
Is that the normal behaviour? If so it should be in the users guide all over the place.

When I go on a 3 week travel abroad that means I need to have the unit switched on and charged for 3 weeks for a continuous track, right?
