Same boat - but just bought an Explorer for my sister for Christmas - I just pinged her to see if she wants the new one.

Just got an Explorer for Christmas too :( Was kinda bummed to find out it didn't have maps on the device itself, should have looked into it more first.

specs compared ?

I've been trying to compare specs to the previous generation. I can't find the dimensions of the screen on the current Explorer.

Does anybody know? This new unit appears to have a larger screen.

Some specs I found off a Swedish Product update....Screen is 1/2" larger...unit is a little larger, too...and heavier....
