Fenix 5 dermatitis/rash/slough - ughhhhhh

I have a Fenix 5 watch - I have worn watches all my life - I do not wear bracelets/rings etc - as a vet surgeon I have used every type of surgical scrub - I DO NOT GET allergies from anything - I have no known allergies - full stop.

Except this Fenix 5 watch - My son bought it for me - I had the prior version then he bought me this version and I have worn it for a year - zilch problem - wear it to bed - running heavy sweaty work - no problem

And suddenly it started - just under watch on right arm - so I moved it to my left - same thing - it reddens, gets itchy - then the scratch - itch cycle happens (dermatitis talk - the more you itch them ore you scratch - a cycle) - and then the skin breaks and I have to remove it.

I now leave it off at night and often leave it on my desk whilst working as the vibration of messages easily heard.

Once my wrists heal I resume wearing but it only takes an hour before the irritation starts - and it gets messy - but heals without problem.

Garmin - is it the watch or the strap - I am about to deep scrub it with an alcohol scrub to see if that will help.

Ughh this is bad Garmin - is there a metal strap - anyone got any answers!
