Generally not a good sign. If you haven’t done the basics already try a soft reset, diagnostic mode then full reset. Support would put you through these steps anyway. Likely one of the sensors is shot (often the temperature sensor as this will also mess up the barometer). FYI diagnostic mode;
Switch off the device. Press the down button and hold it Press the light button to switch on the device, let it go when the garmin triangle appears let the light button go when diagnostic page 1 comes up. the lap button will walk through the pages.
