We continue to investigate this issue, but do not have a solution. As a temporary workaround, the watch will update distance if you are able to sync with Garmin Connect Mobile, Garmin Express, or plug…
Everyone, we are sorry for the delay but I'm happy to report that in the current 14.73 beta software has a fix for the Zero Distance Issue.
Feel free to install the beta software and report in the…
I now have a 5x Plus so I no longer have this issue. However, syncing my 5x with Garmin Connect mobile did not work, nor did plugging it into a power source. The only workaround that did work was plugging…
This seems to confirm previous reports we've had on this and other threads:
1. Fenix 5x Plus used to have this bug during beta phase, but it was fixed before release version. Somehow the fix isn't…
after many month, today don't have solution, but the method of connect and disconnect for navegation work again is ok at the moments. i hope a real solution to problem.
in spite of this I adore my F5X plus my Inreach Mini they give me the necessary thing to do exercise, motocross and bike, enjoy !!
We pay $$$$$$$ for a watch with its main function does not work
Any news on this problem? I don‘t complain on watch with such amount of features when there is a bug. But now i can say, that this bug exists nearly half of the time I own this watch.
I slowly loose the believe that this will be fixed.
Solution please just discovered I have the same issue? I had to stop multiple times to see if this would get fixed but nothing at the end I just kept Running! Solution please
replace your EPO.BIN with this one, it worked for me and a lot of others:
otherwise try to Clean your watch, cause memory could be overloaded with activities.
Go to protocols, clean all activities!
Just to repeat instructions from this thread: you do not have to delete anything to get the navigation "unstuck". You just need to connect your watch to a computer (or similar device) that puts the watch into USB mass storage mode. This is enough to get around the problem. Just eject the watch and start navigating (no need to delete or replace EPO.bin).
in my case it didn't work with USB and Garmin Express, as soon as i deleted the activies and replaced EPO it worked for me, anyway, it's good to clean your activities arround all 2 month, depends on how many activities you have recorded, the memory Management of Garmin is really very bad when there are to many files on the watch or Edge
It is just because you triggered the "loading maps" screen which happens when you unmount the USB mass storage. The EPO file does not appear to have nothing to do, it's just the trigger to get you to connect to USB and unplug it 'properly'.
Anyway, this workaround is temporary. Most likely your watch is showing the issue again.
Garmin asked me to send the watch to them for replacement. They said not all watches are affected. Got a new one yesterday, same problem! Cannot reach support by phone. I am quite angry...
