Optical HRM Stops

Hello,

For the last couple of weeks the optical HRM randomly stops while wearing the watch. The only way I can get it working again is by powering off and on again.

It's a Fenix 5 currently on SW version 12.40 but the issue was present before the last update.Don't know if it's relevant or not, but for some workouts I do wear a chest HRM. When the optical HRM stops though, the chest strap is nowhere near.

Anyone know what might cause this?

Another update. Updated to 12.50...aaaand issue is back :(

After further tests, it seems that for me the issue is related to the activation of the chest strap. As long as the chest strap sensor status is OFF the optical HRM never stops. If I activate it and use the strap during a workout, the optical HRM will stop within 24 hours.

Interesting ... in your opinion, if I use the band, and after the workout I disable it, the WHR sensor does not stop?
I also do a trial, thanks for the suggestion

My watch is back to normal after several power cycles + soft resets. Seems like the software having trouble getting back to normal operation after each update.
