The last two walking activities i have done, the steps did not show up in Connect IQ. In one case it displayed Steps IQ and "0". and in the other case in the place where Steps usually show up (under calories in the "stats" display) it is blank, does not say "Steps IQ" even. In all previous walks, the step count does display there, labeled as "Steps IQ". Any thoughts on what i can do about this? Do others always see steps for walking? Thanks.
But I miss that Garmin Connect does not use this value to calculate with it, as we can calculate for instance with "swim strokes". The protocoll "indoor walking" counts the number of steps during an activty and shows them on the screen and in the "last activity widget" on the watch. But in Garmin connect, we can not choose "steps" as a field to calculate with it, as we can choose for instance heart rate or distance. Bring it back, ais it was in the good old times in 2016.
Also foot pod support for counting steps is a misery. As far as i know, all the steps fields don t count the steps of the foot pod. I miss it, since the foot pod is the most accurate device which delivers data for calulating steps from it which is available.
BTW: Does someone know, whether Steps to FIT is taking over ActivitySteps from unvisible Garmin data, or is counting steps independently? (in terms of battery cunsumption and memory)
I just updated Steps to Fit on my watch as it didn't work today for the first time since I started using it.
That seems to be a totally different problem. Since yesterday evening no more Connect IQ Data are stored. This has been reported several times in US and German Forum. Personally, I still can see my Steps to FIT data in yesterday's activities (But Only in GC-Android - NOT on GC-Homepage), but today's activities don't store any IQ Data at all.
