Fenix 5x Western Europe map will not update, its showing Western Europe 2.0 is available for update but I keep getting there was a error installing this update, I know this is an issue previously reported on this forum and fixed for others, any ideas?
I have removed the device from all Garmin express and website locations so set up as a new device and reset the device and still the maps will not install, come on Garmin help us out....
Just had a 5X replaced by Garmin this morning, straight out the box won't update Eastern Europe 2.0 or Routable Cycle Map of Europe 2018.10 saying not enough space on computer (there's over 40GB free)
There's 6.89 GB available on the 5X but the map updates are 8.9GB!
Replacing the watch unfortunately dosen't make any difference... We either wait for Garmin to sort the issue....meaning they remake the map smaller in storage space or you can delete the inbuilt maps in the watch and their associated files like I did...after talking with product support.... then install the new maps. I then took off the side of Europe I didn't need....which left 2.7 gig for my other personal maps. All under the instruction of Garmin Uk. There was a post here also that someone was kind enough to explain how to do it.....Ill see if I can find it....
