Garmin Express - GPS 2.30 Update

On which FW is your watch, 10.00?

My Fenix 5 is on the 10.55 beta. I checked to see, if it would update to GPS 2.30, because there are a number of reports on the Fenix 5/5S plus forum topic that mention Fenix 5 (not plus) watches also getting updated. Mine did.

Are you also on the 10.55 beta or are you on the 10.0 release? I tried earlier today and Garmin express said I was up to date no new GPS update?

Ok so I wasnt thinking clearly....The FW update to 10.0 also contained GPS 4.4

So if not on beta FW you wont get latest GPS update as it wont roll backwards with versions. Am I correct in my thinking?

This morning the watch did an automatic update to the 2.30 update, but I have Beta 10.51 installed, not the latest 10.55 (just hadn't got around to it).

Where can we download this update?

I believe if you are on the beta fw all you need to do is connect your watch to garmin express and it will auto check for and push this update. If you are on the Garmin release FW v10.0 you wont get it due to GPS version 4.40 being installed with that fw. I might be mistaken but that is my understanding.

*never mind, it was a silent update apparently, it did update to 2.30
