Good question, I just got the echo as well. What did you end up using?
Hi! I've been trying to figure this out as well. What did you end up using?
Any solution for this?
Do i use - cardio/HIIT/indoor bike/elliptical?
All of the above modes make sense but none track calories/effort/distance accurately.

Calories are based purely on the heart-rate, so it odes not matter what activity type you choose. Effort is based either on the powermeter, or on the HR too. So if your assault bike has an ANT+ powermeter, connect it to the watch. The same goes for the distance - if the bike has an ANT+ speed sensor, connect it to the watch. If it does not, enter the distance manually, in Garmin Connect, once the activity saved, or install a speed sensor on it.
Thanks for the suggestions!! Very helpful. Unfortunately I don't have ant+ or Bluetooth so I'd have to do manual entires.
Garmin has a separate mode for treadmills, ellipticals, indoor bikes etc. Hope the come out with one for the ski erg and the assualt sir bike since these are products that are being used all over the world right now.
My Fenix5 plus already connects to my Concept 2 Ski ERG. To which Ski ERG are you trying to connect?
