Swim lap count goes wrong 7,8,9,10,11,22!!!

Mine has just done an update to 10.00 and now the swim laps go wrong. its not constant but always goes wrong ( it never gets sequence right)

Example 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10,11,22,23,24,25,36,37,41

At the end of the swim, the distance and everything is OK so it knows it has done the right o. of lengths

Anyone else got this problem?
Any suggestions?
Can I downgrade... it has been fine before this and this is the only reason I have the watch? Where can I get files from?

I really can't understand how bad Garmin are 1 step forward... 10 back I am a software developer by trade and this is unbelievable. Have they not heard of unit testing!

    I'm having similar issues, length count jumped by 10 from 12 to 22 today. Then correct distance is shown after stopping activity. I've had to count how far I swim all this week, I'd gotten used to not doing that! I'm going to go back to older firmware at the weekend if an update isn't available.

    I have the same issue.

    I followed the instructions mentionned at the bottom of the page but I'm still on version 10.0 after point 7 (update)

    Any idea?

    Same problem here, all went wrong after update to 10.0. Mine 5S is counting well until I make first 500m (in 50m pool), then it doubles the shown distance and continues to show the double distance until I press stop button. After I press stop button, it divides the wrongly counted distance back by half so the final distance shown ends up being always by one or two laps longer than in reality given he made some mistake when started to show double distance in total.

    What is the best/most visible way to let Garmin know?

    Is it worth to downgrade to 9.X or shall we wait till they fix it?

    Tried the latest beta, same problem. Increases length count, then after stopping exercise indicated lengths are are divided by two. I’m going to try version before 10.

    By the way, after the recent update of 10.00 at end August or September, in my case the lap count improved in the sense that the final result after pressing STOP button is now getting back to the correct length number, but during the activity after reaching 600M (in 50m pool) the counter shows if I remember correctly 1150 meters when it should be 700 and continues to show wrong length, so you have to count manually to know when you reach e.g. 1000M but after you press STOP button the correct length e.g. 1000 is shown and saved. So I would say the correction goes the right direction, but we are still not there yet. I hope 10.55 is going to finally solve this painfull issue. Thank you. Marek
