Dmytryi, curious - is this a Beta Software question? Anyway, it is normal. Remove the watch from your wrist and the sensor LEDs will turn off. If on your wrist but too loose, you will be able to see the LEDs but the sensors may not be able to get a HR reading. Does this answer your question?

Deeply sorry that posted question in a wrong place.
Thanks’ a lot for your reply)). Minus one important question for me.
  • I might have to take that back.

Just for sh**s and giggles, I ran Express to update and sync again this morning and it worked! It took two attempts, first attempt updated the few watch faces I had installed, then the second attempt installed all the maps. Now it's telling me I am fully updated and synced. It would appear so..

It fixed itself somehow? Give it another try and see if it works for you?

Yes it is working now fine thanks fore the replay
  • When we'll see the 9.73 beta, which came to Fenix 5 and 5S?
  • “Fixed an issue causing HR data for pool swim activities to be graphed incorrectly in Garmin Connect.

Wait… Does that mean they’ve activated the sensor for HR during swim activities since it doesn’t magically stop working in the water? Or do am I going to have to keep using “cardio mode” to get my heart rate when I swim?

  • EDIT

This was received today. Bunch of sh** to try and more time to be wasted. Still no real information.

"The next time you perform and record an activity, please do the following and send us the results.

Let us know what is your Auto Calibration settings for During Activity and Not During Activity.

    Settings> Sensors & Accessories> Altimeter

Did you Manually Calibrate and when? Did you use Current Elevation, DEM or GPS

What is the Elevation on the watch at the Start of the Activity. What does it show at the end?

What is your Watch Mode setting?

    Settings> Sensors & Accessories> Barometer

Perform the activity and save it.

Then send us the original .fit file for that activity, as well as the Settings.fit file that can be found in the Settings folder inside the Garmin folder of the device."

In fairness the settings.fit and the .fit file for the activity are the two files + the info above that they will need to solve your issue.

  • 9.73 is only available for the 5/5S devices. Not yet for 5x.

    Understood, will wait for 5x.
  • I had a fun transfer bug ? today.

From EXACTLY 4PM until EXACTLY 8PM - my heart rate sensor got stuck at 77 BPM. (according to Garmin Connect Mobile)

That is the first time I have seen that. On the watch it looks find - but the Garmin Connect Mobile have hiccuped in the transfer so flat lined.

Apart from that the latest Garmin Connect iOS no longer sync's workouts to Apple Health.

Garmin really really need some management of their developers across the board. :(

The amount of bugs is staggering across all current products. (Mine: Fenix 5x, Edge 1030, VivoFit Jr 2 * 2 - Wife gave up on Garmin and has settled with her Apple Watch)

I would suggest a PUBLIC view-able BUG tracking system - so users AND management can keep track of bugs and fixes. There is simply too much that gets "forgotten" or swept under the rug.
  • Bug in the time remaining field

Hey folk in Run -> training -> set a target -> distance and pace -> 12km -> 5:00 min/km using GPS+GALELIO: huge time remaining (see screen shots)

  • Same bug in virtual partner when following a course since 9.71. I reported it to beta team.
