We have new beta software ready for your upcoming adventures!

Fenix 5X: https://www8.garmin.com/support/download_details.jsp?id=11665

Note: Please allow for the updates to propagate across all servers. There is no need to post that the link does not work. It will after a bit of patience.

9.72 Change Log Notes:
• Improvements to pool swim distance accuracy.
• Improved route recalculations when navigating.
• Fixed a rare issue which could cause the watch to restart at the end of certain workouts.
• Fixed an issue where the abnormal heart rate alert would auto-dismiss after 30 seconds.
• Made several bug fixes and code improvements with CIQ SDK 3.0.

Please send all bug reports to "][email protected], and indicate which model of the fenix 5 series you have in the subject line.

Please note, the beta updates released on these forums are not suitable for APAC region devices.
• Dexter101010, Have you checked that the time on your smartphone is correct. The default is for the watch to 'correct' it's time to that which is on your phone via GCM. There are settings to disable this behaviour, Menu>Settings>System>Time>Set Time>toggle to Manual rather than Auto.
• I used the GPS today in a round of golf and the llcation of hazards was off in some instances by 30 yds. In some instances the auto scoring feature moved from one hole to another before reaching the hole. Very disappointing.
• I know I'm being annoying asking for a status update on the next beta firmware... but has anyone heard anything from anyone from Garmin?

I've sent numerous emails to support and the beta team, and received not a single reply.

Obviously activity elevation is off and I am experiencing pretty bad battery drain while in activity. I'm also experiencing some issues with the calorie count on my device. I'll go on a bike ride, burn 1,100 calories, but my daily total burn under active won't add that number up properly. I know there was some chances made to the calorie counter... doesn't seem like the math is right. Anyone else seeing this? Or are the calories burned during an activity not all considered active??

Also for me, no single replay from beta team ...

+1 with this issue for me.
• I was noticing this before the 6.6.0 update. I'm getting the exact same issue. I figured it was because of the beta firmware.

Auto update option on the watch does nothing either. I have 9 pending updates.

Thank you SIr
• Hi to all.
Accidentally discovered that optical pulse sensor lighting constantly. Belt was a little slack.
On my watch face no HR data. No any widgets installed. This story was discovered during rest time, just sitting in chair.
When I’ve removed device from hand, in some seconds pulse sensor stops to light.
Question – is it normal, or something wrong?

Dmytryi, curious - is this a Beta Software question? Anyway, it is normal. Remove the watch from your wrist and the sensor LEDs will turn off. If on your wrist but too loose, you will be able to see the LEDs but the sensors may not be able to get a HR reading. Does this answer your question?

Wasting money and time with this watch I upgrade from Fenix 3 (Garmin didn’t put a Crystal for time inside, I didn’t use it and disable GPS and time was hours away, how can be possible to get time only from GPS, and not to have internal crystal to keep the time like a $1 Chinese watch have) to the Fenix 5x for 16GB and having same issue, navigation don't know where you are, altitude, barometer, are never accurate, better I recommend to anyone not to spend $600 on this, a power bank to your phone will do a lot more and the nearby weather station. so disappointed. If you want to say this is a beta discussion, then fix everything I mention Above, enjoy it since you already spend the money on it after see the lovely paid reviews on YouTube and adds…….
