deinstall all not Garmin apps, widgets, displaydesigns you installed from Connect IQ, seems developers have to adapt their code to new FW and SDK!
  • Best way to keep fw 8.0...
Garmin keeps quiet. What to update, or change, no ideas... In New SDK nothing changed, what can drain the battery... It looks like the reason in bugs of Garmin virtual machine. I've pass through all code of my wf. For some period of time all returned to normal way, when I've made hard reset of device, but in few days battery drain again....
So for now only 2 solutions: to downgrade to fw 8. 0 and switch off updates. Or remove all what you have, not designed by Garmin and wait, maybe one day they will fix something...
    P. S. 9.71 beta doesn't fix battery drain at all.
  • Anyway, you can try the following (there are some reports, that some of this actions halps):
-- Make soft-reset of device (switch to native Garmin's wf, press and hold Light button untill device will complete switch off, after few minutes power on it again).
-- update to last 9.71 beta wf, Garmin declaring, that thay (maybe) fixed battery drain in it. All your data will be save.
-- if do like to keep officill wf, and do not like to have beta, but not so much carre about data on your device, you can macke (Hard Reset) of your device. Go onto setting and choose facktory reset.
  • I found just switching to a standard watch face and doing a soft reset worked. Back to a .3 percent per hour average.

I'll just stick with the standard face until its resolved - either via 3rd party watch face programmers or Garmin, depending where the problem lays.
  • I made more simple. Just downgraded fw to 8.0 (gps to 4.3), switched off auto update (Garmin express also should not be used, it not care for switched off auto update, and updating anyhow)

And now I'm finally happy. All working same good as it was before Tha ugly update to 9.2 with all later betas.
  • If your battery is draining quickly it is something other than just the 9.20. My watch batter drain has not changed. You may be running some other software that interacts badly with 9.20.

@Dmytryi Where did you found 8.00 firmware, and what you mean by "downgraded GPS to 4.3", looks like latest version of GPS is 2.20?

Just download first beta after 8.0, means 8.54. Inside folder "System_Backdate_v800" you will found requested file.
If we are talking about Phenix 5x, here is the link:

Yap, with 9.53 beta they made GPS from 4.4 to 2.2, god knows why.

    Forget to tall.
Do not forget to switch off auto update on your device, before first synchronization.
Also, remove Garmin Express from your PS, before connecting your device. Because, Garmin Express does not care, that auto update is of… It will update it anyhow.
