Error occurred during the update, installing European Maps Updates, fenix 5x

I received the issue that caused users to get the ‘Error occurred during installation of the update’ when trying to install European Maps Updates to the fenix 5x.

In other topic it was marked as solved but there is no hint how it was solved and how to receive the update without the error. I asked because I'm having acutally this problem.

I am having the same issue with western Europe update on fenix 5x during update states there was an error during map update.

Did you get a solution?

Have the same problem ( Western Europe 2.0), other Maps (Coverage of Europ, Middle& Afrika 5.3, North and South Amerika 5.7, Pacific 4.8 I can install without problems

Got a new Fenix 5X to replace my previous one that had a problem.
All maps updated perfectly except Western Europe 2.0 that keep returning an error.
Looking forward to a solution...

Same problem here, all continent coverage maps and the Europe cyclable map work, but the Europe v2.0 is showing the same error as the screenshot in the post above.
Please let us know as soon as you have a solution to this! Thanks :-)

i have the same issue but with Australian maps. plugged watch into GE last night for the first time in a while and it updated GE but also removed the maps from my watch so just blank screens now when i use anything with a map. It says there is an error and wont download. This is rediculous as i am trying to plan a remote hike. This is not a cheap watch and now i am faced with more SW glitches - really isnt acceptable and should be a recall. Anyway, does anyone know a workaround for this?

That is not a solution, but a workaround only.
For a 600 Euro device i expect no manual intervention in the process
