Hi, it happened only once, but I really hope it will never happen before a race. I charged my garmin in the evening to 100% and disconnected it from charger than put it no my arm. In the morning I saw only 10%! It never happened before. I manage to charge it using a powerbank while biking to 55% and continued the ride. Now it is still 34% so it is discharging in right speed. But why it happened from 100% to 10% in just about 7 hours?
wojtek_b, can you double check that your software is up to date and at v8.00 (Settings->About). If it is, please charge your watch fully and see if you have an issue tomorrow. If that doesn't work, reach out to us through our Product Support channels (phone, email, or chat) so that we can work with you directly.
Thanks for response Garmin-Heath - The watch is still running on battery since the charging on Sunday, It is running on v8.00. I will charge it fully and check if it happens again.
I have had that happen before after taking it off charge from the computer - seemed like some process was running and draining the battery. I noticed it dropped 10 percent in like an hour. I restart the watch and it was correct again.
I had that happen last week. I did not turn off the phone connection on the watch or turn off bluetooth on my phone after using the Garmin app and I had been testing the weather widget. I woke up to a dead battery so decided to use bluetooth only when needed to sync and then shut it off on both phone and watch. If I do that battery lasts for days. Only happened that once but scared me away from using much connectivity except to sync or specific to an activity and then disable. Might have been a flaky bluetooth connection once the app was closed on my Nokia Lumia Icon.
same issue here. charged the watch from the computer and then put it on and went to sleep. woke up with the battery down to 75% and the display frozen. Fenix 5 running ver8.00
Same problem. Sudden onset battery drain on my Fenix 3 started 3 days ago for no apparent reason. Love this watch and prior to 3 days ago it worked perfectly. Tried both soft reboot and factory reset, still draining.....rapidly (12% per 1-1/12 hours) with watch mode. Vers. 8.9. HELP!!
I'm having a similar issue, not sure exactly when but very recently I noticed I'm getting excessive battery drain daily. The watch when new about 10m ago would go a week without charging now I'm lucky if i can go through 1-2 days before under 10%. I'll add I have not added anything new anytime recently. I checked right now and showing I'm up to date on firmware.
