Hi, it happened only once, but I really hope it will never happen before a race. I charged my garmin in the evening to 100% and disconnected it from charger than put it no my arm. In the morning I saw only 10%! It never happened before. I manage to charge it using a powerbank while biking to 55% and continued the ride. Now it is still 34% so it is discharging in right speed. But why it happened from 100% to 10% in just about 7 hours?
I think a quick toggle from the LIGHT button menu to easily disable HRM would help too .I'd like the option to have it on ONLY during enabled activities, not when I'm sleeping with the watch on
I've had a similar issue with battery drain on my Approach S60 from 100% to 10% in less than one day. This has only been happening for the last 5 or 6 days (first week of July '18), software version 4.2
I had my battery die two times since upgrading to 9.72. The first time I went for a mountain bike ride, was charged to 85% and the watch shut off with a dead battery after 70 minutes. I couldn't figure out what happened until I got home and plugged it in and found out it was totally dead.
Another time I don't know when the battery died (wasn't in an activity) but I checked the watch and it was off. Again no warning and I always have a fairly high charge (above 50%).
Other than those 2 times my battery life is usually very good so it is strange.
i bought My Fenix 5 a month ago. First when I have opened the box the battery was already dead. So far so good, but since then the battery continues to drain. The smart notifications are off, no activities in the last few days, but the issue is still here. I turned off the watch yesterday evening, guess what in the morning it has lost 20% of its charge while off!!!?!?! How is that even possible :). The battery is losing its charge for three full days (Garmin advertises 2 weeks in a watch mode ?!?!). Could please give me some advise on how to solve the issue or otherwise I will need to return the watch. Thanks
Same thing happened to me. I found if you fumble attaching the charging cable, then later it discharges really fast. My work around that works is power off after the charge then back on and it works just fine.
