Hi all I was trying to use round trip course for running and it works out the course fine but I don’t get any turn notifications when coming up to a turn like I do on navigation to a saved location is this normal ?

Also if I miss a turn it doesn’t recalculate like it does on navigation is this normal ?

I am finding it very hard to follow

Any taught’s or help would be great

Thanks

Mickk I have the Fenix 5x with version 7.60 firmware. I am using maps Aus/NZ topo lite (which isn't routable) and the Garmin Aus/NZ cycle map (which is routable)

I tried the 'round trip course' in a running activity for the first time just now. Wasn't aware of it before, (there are so many features to test out on this watch!)
It took a considerable time ( a few minutes) to calculate 3 random-ish routes for a 20 km distance and (eventually) showed each of them on the map, waiting for me to select one by pressing the 'start' button.
Then by selecting 'go', it gave me an arrow on the map to the first turn, so it is definitely using turn-by-turn method. Also if I select 'turn-by-turn' rather than 'go' it gives a scrollable list of turns in text.
As I 'started' the route and followed it, it gave me turn indicators on the map and 'buzzed' when they were coming up.
If I decided to deviate from the suggested route, it would NOT recalculate the route but it did give indicators about how to get back to it.

It dose take a while to work out a course the longer the course the longer it takes I don’t mind that. The turn notifications are so much better if you are using go to saved location name of street an arrow and distance to turn all very clear. I find the running round trip course very hard to follow
