USB Mass Storage Mode not working anymore

After 2 months suddenly the watch is not going into Mass Storage Mode anymore when connected via usb.

Charging works, Bluetooth with Garmin Connect and everything else seems to be working fine as well.

But whatever I tried from

- different cables,
- cleaning the contacts,
- different usb ports,
- different computer,
- followed the Garmin support tipp to enforce Mass Storage Mode,
- reset to factory settings,

tried everything I could think of. The watch goes to chargin only when connected.

Anybody have further ideas or any experience with this issue?

The usb connection and the Mass Storage Mode always worked until today.

nope, tried to use different cables, all is tight, shiny and clean and no change when some pressure is applied on the connector.

Hi, sometimes I have the same problem. ¿Do you have mac computer?. I dont know why it happens.

Still kept trying different suggestions again, but no luck. Charging works fine, Bluetooth works fine, but never been able to get into mass storage mode again.

I had this same issue yesterday and after throughly cleaning and drying the connector on the bottom of the watch I was able to get mass storage mode to work again.

I have experienced this for the first time. For me it seems to have started with beta 6.78 and is a software issue rather than hardware. If you wait 5 minutes then your PC will finally eventually recognise your watch. I find starting Garmin’s express sometimes helps to speed things up.

Perhaps only happens with macs.

I use a MAC and it has always does this. It is intermittent and quite annoying. I will connect the watch and while it shows it's charging it does not provide a USB connection and therefore no "Garmin" folder and no Garmin Express connection. Usually, I just unplug it, wait a minute or two for the watchface to reload and plug it in again. Sometimes I'll need to do this two or three times. I think it was similar with the 3HR. Kinda a habit now.
