Is it just me or has the latest software upgrade for the Fenix 5 broken the golf shot tracking feature? I played a few holes on 31st August when my watch still had v5.30.0.0 and shot detection worked fine. Then last Tuesday 26th September I played 9 holes but not a single shot was detected. I noticed after the round that my watch had upgraded to v6.0.0.0. I played 6 holes again today, Friday 29th September, and once more not a single shot was detected. Help!! This is one of the primary features I use.
Just to be clear this is definitely a problem with the watch. I cannot measure individual shots on the course either. It is not just a data transfer problem with Garmin Connect.
Took me a while to find this forum, but I'm glad I'm not crazy that it isn't working on my 5s. Side note, does anything know what "Stat Tracking" is in the golf menu? It was turned off by default.
Same problem here. I have a regular fenix 5, and I have contacted Garmin several times about it. They don't seem to be aware of this problem since they told me to update and reset the watch to try and fix it. Did that, but it doesn't work. Relieved to read that more people have the same problem, so it isn't just my watch. Hope they can fix this bug quickly!
Garmin support eventually replied to me but gave me the same advice, i.e. Perform a master reset. I have done this but will not have a chance to test the shot tracking function until Thursday. I will post the results then. In the meantime has anyone else tried a reset to fix the problem?
