Feature request: not on wrist detection to stop vibration

Hi,

I have my smart notifications on on my Fenix 5s. I like those a lot and also like that it vibrates if there is a new notification.

The thing I don't like is when I have my watch (which is rarely) laying on my night stand or when I'm charging the watch that it just keeps on vibrating with every notification.
Since there is an always on heart rate monitor on the the device it must be doable to detect wetter the user is wearing the watch or not and then stop the vibrations.

Could you please implement this feature!

I agree with this feedback - it's annoying when the watch is charging and I can see a buzz everytime a notification pops up on my phone.

+1 i would also like to add on to this and have it not activate the move bar, and not register sleep time - these also can be tied to the all day heart rate monitor...it should know when its not being being worn.

Also along this level i would like it to keep the "do not disturb" off until it knows you are awake...since it is tracking this already this should be a no-brainer.... right now it has the do not disturb setup to the sleep/wake time you set in the app, and if you sleep in on the weekend it doesn't care and it wakes me up with non-stop work emails.

Agreed its very annoying that when the watch is charging it is vibrating away when it's obvious the user is not wearing the charging watch. Such a basic thing Garmin

It must be easy enough to implement. This along with a smart alarm are two feature I'm missing since moving from the beloved Pebble watch.

Generally not.

In particular, I wouldn't expect an acknowledgement of a feature suggestion - best place to submit those is the formal route http://www8.garmin.com/contactUs/ideas/ which is full of disclaimers (and the disclaimers are the reason I wouldn't expect an acknowledgement here, even if they have read the thread). You won't get an acknowledgement there, either, but you can be fairly confident it's been read, at least.

The forum's basically user-to-user, barring release announcements, and some areas where the devs are very active, like the ConnectIQ forums.
